This article once again points out the outrageous selfishness of the whole Leave movement - a bunch of ignorant, white Englanders pining for the empire. They don't care one whit that modern Europe has been built on cooperation and friendship. Peace in Northern Ireland has been helped by the EU. Peace in Europe has been helped by the EU. Hundreds of millions of children have grown up in a diverse region without walls, watchtowers and checkpoints. Certainly, EU politics is imperfect - slow, bureaucratic and consensus-driven - but it's vastly preferable to the epic clusterfuck of tribal warfare that made up most of European history beforehand.

But, you know, who cares about a few people shooting each other over in Belfast? As long as we can kick out all the Polish plumbers. Never mind the troubles, we will be too busy rolling in the mountains of cash our former colonies will apparently be sending our way. Ugh. Fuck these guys forever. Every time i think about it i just want to renounce my citizenship and set that embarrassment of a passport on fire.

...The editorial really outlines how utterly unrealistic the worldview of the Leave camp is.
