RoseAnn DeMoro, the outspoken leader of the California Nurses Association, looked out at a horde of red-clad supporters as they prepared to march on the state Democratic Party’s convention Friday to advocate for public-funded universal health care.

I think this is why I can't fuck with the progressive movement either. They're yelling about losing and not being able to convince people with their message while Paul Ryan, that Mulvaney prick and the rest of the people Trump lets run the country wants some of us literally dead. But hey, whatever. I'm resolved that all sides of the party are going to fuck shit up because of their petty fighting.

I know what you mean, and I hate it.

I actually think really great things could happen in 2018 if the infighting desn't fuck everything  up.  I refuse to give up hope, but I'm not holding my breath, either.

late to the party, but honestly, I think the infighting is exaggerated by the internet. Most of the grassroots activists I know, the folks who actually do the work to get people elected, don't pay attention to this nonsense.

No we do not.

Most of us also know the depths of corruption and embedded power that we're up against though, whereas, sometimes, I'm not sure your everyday-Democrat or progressive have a single clue.

I think you're absolutely right about the effects of the internet. I can attest that the Democratic/progressive activists I've met in the past few months are too busy doing the actual work to argue about why Hillary lost, whether she should have been the nominee, etc. For me, one of the best things about getting actively involved has been meeting so many dedicated, passionate, hard working people. It's been a very inspring and  encouraging experience for me.
