I lived in Toronto during the Rob Ford debacle, and a lot of Torontonians on my Facebook are recalling how that story surfaced. The "mayor smokes crack" video was rumored for the better part of a year before it eventually leaked. And the whole time conservatives complained that their man was being unfairly targeted by the press. Even when the freakin police announced that they had the video, conservatives still screamed "fake news" because zomg show me the evidence. Of course once the video finally got leaked to the public, then - well, he's only human and like everyone he makes mistakes. Le sigh.
It's like... you are so done crying the only thing left to do is laugh. World is fucked.
