... the only way that happens is if We the People join the Democratic Party and spend the next four years relentlessly calling and writing our legislators and party leaders every week.

Like it or not, what we have is a two-party system. That's not going to change unless/until we get run-off voting, which won't happen soon. I would rather be Green, but I joined the Dem Party because the only chance we have of protecting the environment, avoiding war, and redressing systemic inequality and injustice is by electing Democrats to office who will stand their ground, and making sure they do it.

Now is the time for all of us to be calling all our legislators at least once or twice a week to insist they oppose Trump's illegitimate presidency in every possible way; to be calling and e-mailing companies that advertise on pro-Trump sites to ask them to withdraw their support; and to be donating to organizations that deserve support.
