Reporting back. It's not bad and I like the gems. Find Steven reaallly obnoxious though which probably has more to do with that childish upbeat team mascots are super-cringey to me than anything.
I have two and can confirm. Their coat also changes when they're sick. My poor old man is getting light fur (fever coat) on his face because he's not feeling too well right now. :(
oh no! My only consolations is kitties are very hardy so here's hoping he feels better quickly.
We've had siamese in our family but this is the first time I've had a Siamese myself and he's a lynx point. With very bad breath. I'm a red tabby girl so he's very different to me.
I love lynx point Siamese! I used to live next door to a lady who had a Siamese mix that looked just like a lynx point, and I love that cat.
I sympathize on the bad breath. My cat used to have that, like WHOA. Have you ever had your guy's teeth cleaned professionally? It's not the cheapest thing in the world because they have to use general anesthesia, but the results for my boy were worth every penny. Especially since the vet found a couple of bad teeth that needed to come out while she was at it, which we would have never known otherwise. I'm really glad decided to have it done.
Well he's three now so I'm going to look at doing a professional cleaning maybe next year (aka when I get my car paid off, fingers crossed) and I'll need to plan to do one for the dog sooner or later too.
The one nice thing is he's halter-trained so taking him to the vet just means leashing him up and tying him in the backseat. I have too many traumatic stories about trying to put cats in carriers.
Interesting! I always thought Siamese cats just naturally got darker as they aged, because ... well, just because, lol. Never knew temperature had anything to do with it. I learn something new every day!
Siamese oats are temperature sensitive.
