I feel like he was very apolitical about this since I saw that it was Congress who leaked his letter to the media so it's not really his fault? I keep hearing different things about him. I googled why he was appointed to his position in the first place, and it was just praise on how apolitical he was , and now this week there are a bunch of articles about how political he is that idk who to believe anymore. I hope this doesn't affect the election, but the timing of this scandal is horrible.

Yeaaaah I read that it was Jason Chafetz or wtf his name is and I was like... "yep he didn't keep it in his inbox" and I can kind of sort of see Comey's reasoning of "well I said I had everything only I may not and this may or may not be relevant"

also tbqh though... I don't *~think*~ this will affect the election as much? Most people I know just want to get this thing over with so all the outrage and awareness is burned out

Well like anything... I think most of the media craze is for the page hits and the ad revenue more so than actual interest. Like... IDGAF about the emails. I really truly do not because the logistics of *~why*` it was a bad choice are wrapped up in a lot of bylaws and bureaucracy that doesn't indicate misbehavior.... just ineptitude. I am far more interested in how Clinton, like many Baby Boomers, is totally into nation building and America's Divine Right to Police but that doesn't get a lot of discussion bc for the 50 and up crowd that's normal.

But yeah. Clinton will never be trustworthy in the majority of America's eyes even if she had a camera on her jacket pocket hooked up to a live feed 24/7. It's just the natural caginess which I can understand (esp post-90s) but I can't really say it helps her politically.

idk the percentages have been getting worse at 538 after the emails, but it could always be other factors coincidentally happening at the same time (like undecideds deciding).
