Blergh, I need something to cheer me up. I just burst out crying over..I'm not entirely sure what (though I suspect it has something to do with being utterly frustrated at the world right now X_X)
1. Trump's "too ugly to rape" comments are seriously upsetting. I hate hate hate that rape myth so fucking much. I'm really over the way people only give a shit about the stories of the most attractive of victims. I hate how the assaults of victims who aren't nubile and gorgeous and able-bodied get swept under the rug. I hate that "rape-able" and "sexy" are seen as synonymous.
2. Once Upon a Time got interesting, that they're showing a Nice Guy (TM) villain, but then they go ahead and glorify Rumplestiltskin's abusive ass. At least Belle's not having it this time. Although I'm just really fucking over seeing them as a couple. No. Kill that ship. Sink it. Burn it. It's a goddam insult to one of my favorite Disney films.
Yeah, but at least people give enough of a shit to pay attention to their stories. At least that myth (the sexy amounting to "asking for it") gets addressed.
I'm mourning the loss of one of my friends. She defriended me on Friday night/Saturday morning on facebook. Our friendship had been strained over politics because she's a Jill Stein supporter and I'm a Hillary Clinton supporter and she's convinced that everyone's a smug latte liberal who doesn't care about class issues. We had a similar strain back in 2012 in the general election. Honestly, this friend ain't shit, but losing her friendship still hurts.
I'm sorry, bb. I understand how the loss of friendship does hurt, even when the person was a complete ass. In my case, she was controlling and abusive. Our friendship started out well but then something happened and yeah. Sending positive thoughts. <3 <3
Hello! The last two weeks have been in the dumps for me. A long depressive episode but I finally came out of it. Just one of those thing that I work through and keep active even though all I want to do, is lay in bed. Saw my therapist yesterday and I talked to her about it. My husband and I then went shopping for our costumes! I'm gonna be a witch. =)
I went to a rural fall festival yesterday. Soooooooo many Trump shirts and signs along with anti-Hillary stuff. A lot of vendors were selling political stuff from both sides and I bet they were raking in the money. I almost can't blame them, these Trump-lovers will spend their entire paycheck on shirts and huge flags and so on
