Generally, I try to pushback against the idea of "social justice warriors" and defend tumblr activism, but there are times when I've had Lindsey Graham-level moments of, "This fandom is batshit crazy." This is one of those times. D:

I will never, ever defend social justice activism on Tumblr. I have more of a personal problem with GamerGaters, but both of them harbor predatory individuals and I've seen the worst of both.

I'll never forget how a non-binary friend of mine got banned from a LiveJournal community for "homophobia" just because they spoke up against dogpiling on one poor sap just for using the wrong words to describe something.
