The article I posted mentioned his human rights abuses only in two sentences and they certainly warrant their own article, so thanks for adding these links!
It's truly shocking that people like this can be considered 'western allies', IMO.
PS: It's annoying that I can't seem to code a cut or anything in the comments which doesn't let me put triggering stuff under a cut... Argh! (In other words I just tried and realized this. Ugh.)
