Rio's horror week: Body parts wash up near Olympics beach volleyball site

With just 36 days to go before the Rio Olympics kick off, the situation in the host city just went from bad to worse.

A beach goer Wednesday discovered human body parts that had washed up on the shore, right in front of the Olympic Beach Volleyball Arena on Rio's famed Copacabana beach.

A dismembered foot and another body part still unidentified

I know Rio was having problems before the Olympics but I hate how cities basically have to go broke to host now. I love the Olympics but sometimes I think they need to be scaled back, realistically.

This is crazy shit--- host cities always go broke, I feel like? another thing I've noticed is that the host is decided so far in advance (like 8 years), that the social and economic climate has a lot of time to change and I feel like that's what's happening with Rio. I never want that shit to come to San Franciso.
