Different poster but from reading what was said by Gorenberg 'Classic gender markers don’t fit everybody' and “exist without labels that don’t accurately describe them”.
As someone who is female and comfortable with that identity I don't understand this. Does the fact that I grew up playing with Lego, softball/baseball and never wore dresses make me more of a boy? Or does the fact now I wear dresses/skirts every day and make up make me more of a girl?
When people who identify as gender fluid talk about their experiences I've read 'well today I wanted to dress up like a woman so I did that. Other days I might want to wear clothes that show my masculine side. My gender doesn't change if I wear a skirt or pants and I don't insert and that reasoning.
I keep reading to try and educate myself but majority of stuff I'm seeing is 'I don't fit society's view of gender therefore I'm not my assigned gender' I don't understand that because my gender isn't reliant on how I present myself.
If you can't empathize with non conforming gender identities then yeah idk if I can really help you since apparently "all you read" hasn't gotten the point across.
Like really the point is that cishet people's opinions on gender identity and expression aren't really needed a lot and cause more problems and discourse than they do support and understanding and your comment here is kind of exactly a really good example of that.
This is awesome! Wish I could go through this type of legal transition, but I don't have the funding/energy to fight for it. Plus, I'm in Florida, so I don't see it ending this well, haha.

And keep in mind, you are speaking to a nonbinary transperson.
