considering she's been picking up Castro's staff as of late....I would like to see him or another Latino on the ticket.

oh lord. diversity is nice to me is all. So maybe not him. but for me, I was impressed by his keynote in 2012 and other things I've seen.

He's a Texas Democrat, which is more Republican than most state's democrats. As a liberal Texan, I like the idea of a high profile liberal Texan who can mitigate the damage of the idiots our state seems to send to congress, but he would definitely draw the ticket more to the center and undo all the work Bernie did in pulling her left.

And like, yeah, San Antonio is more blue than most of the state (probably not quite as much as Austin but it's still a fairly liberal area)...and even that's still not as liberal as blue areas in other parts of the country.

Texas is such a weird state.

As an Austin resident, it actually makes me upset when people try to pain us as some sort of "liberal haven." We're dark purple, maybe, and our "liberalism" is more Jimmy Carter Democrat than progressive dems.
