so this bathroom police shit is this years social issue attempting to lure in the religious asshole vote, isn't it? I honestly think is the worst one the right has yanked out, tbh, I've already read articles about people (who aren't even trans, mind you, but just gender nonconforming) being stopped going into the bathroom. Like I read one article about a woman in Texas who was waiting in the ER and some jerk stopped her when she went to take a pee, claiming he was "worried about his mother"

I know it could happen to my mother's BFF, she's 6'2" and looks very mannish. And I'd love to have a front-row seat, because Pat suffers ZERO fools.

Yeah, notice how it coincided with the rise of Trump and the fear of Democrats regaining a majority in Congress. People have been peeing without incident next to trans and non-gender conforming people for basically forever, but the GOP need something to stir up their voters so here we go. But this particular boogieman is basically un-policeable and I can foresee many, many lawsuits aside from the already existing ones, not to mention all the boycotts and such. The financial backlash building against these laws is going to be enormous. The GOP is flopping in every way this year.
