Well, for what it is worth, I actually today at a meeting had a Democratic Party employee say that super delegates exist to give the party higher ups a disproportionate say in the primary process and that he personally didn't like the system as it currently exists.

yeah. the fact that caucuses are even a thing completely baffles me. It seems so confusing and unnecessary.
