I worked there for like a week before I got a job where I actually wanted to work, and I remember the training including some video telling me how evil unions are

Sadly, I think that's nearly every business in the US. I'll never forget once being forced to watch training videos about the evils of unions on Labor Day.

I've worked a lot of shitty jobs in my day but that Target was the only one who showed me an evil union video

when I worked at Wendy's they showed me this which was AMAZING:

I loved it so much I stole the VHS when I left the job lol

That video is awesome! I'm kinda jamming to it.

I think that's the only one I've seen, and it was at a grocery store (GIANT PA / Martin's) oddly enough. They were all like, 'Unions will totally make your life suck and your work suck and you'll lose all of your friends and everyone will hate you like you're in middle school and were awkward in front of your crush and everyone laughed and made fun of you and oh, yeah, unions will make you smell funny, too.'

And all I can think is, 'If it weren't for unions, we'd all be working 12 to 16 hour days for company scrip. It's fucking Labor Day, the day we celebrate unions, and I'm watching this stupid shit.'

I can't remember if I got one when I worked at JLG or not, it was years ago and we had like three days of bullshit videos that I zoned out on. *shrugs* Probably did, since Oshkosh took over they became a shit company to work for and that's the type of shit they'd pull.

the fact that you had to watch it on Labor Day is really something

It was so absurd. I felt like I was being punk'd. It was all I could do not to awkwardly laugh in disbelief in front of the hiring agent.

that one was so fun because i was laughing at it and my manager kind of came behind me and grabbed my shoulder. not threateningly, but in a 'sh behave yourself' way

Its been four years but I still feel sick and anxious when I think about the time the managers brought me into the office and then spent 20 minutes calling me names and telling me how I should be oh so thankful for working for them despite being bad at customer service (Only the store hadn't even opened yet WTF)

Only job I ever walked out on. And the only time I was ever happy to a company go bust because they couldn't handle Canada.
