This asshole. What makes him even more annoying as how he sets himself up for his party to beg him to take promotions so it looks like he's doing them a favor. I do think he's the best case scenario for the GOP out of a bad bunch, but he's still terrible on all levels.
I know right. He totally wants it, but he also wants to be begged and fawned over before agreeing to do it. He's a politician with a martyr complex, like "okay, I will do this, FOR THE PARTY." as if he's not actually ambitious
Eeyup. But the more horrifying thing is that the party has moved so far to a radical right that Ryan is considered a moderate and hated by a lot of his own caucus bc TEA PARTY VALUES.
The Rachel Maddow show had a segment discussing this.
