Definitely. Most notably the Washington Post..they have been undeniably biased and embarrassing. But honestly regarding MSM overall...TimeWarner (CNN, HBO) and Jeffrey Immelt CEO of GE (NBC, MSNBC) have financial ties to Hil, through either her campaign or the Clinton foundation so call me a little weary with them too.
(However, my biggest concern is all the fucking Trump coverage)
The trump coverage just emphasizes what a shitshow the media is and has always been during elections. Even "liberal" anchors and publications go completely soft on trump and republicans in general because they don't want to lose their precious access (and the money that comes from higher ratings when they cover trump). It's incredibly pathetic.
this has absolutely been my experience whenever i'm around my mother, who is retired and pretty much watches MSNBC around the clock. they talk more about trump than anyone else and it's so damn annoying, especially since, like you said, they hardly ever call him out on his lies or fact-check him. the internet may rip into him, but tv interviewers as a whole seem to be fine with just giving him the kid-glove treatment.
Good read. I can't remember if someone recommended it here or on facebook but Hillary had an amazing interview on Politico's Off Message newest podcast. It seems relevant with this post.
In the interview she talked about not being a natural politician(re:campaigning) like her husband/Obama/(i'd argue FOR Bernie) and having to be stiff and stick with details because that's where she's comfortable with. That the 24 hour news cycle makes it incredible difficult to listen/analyze/form an opinion on journalist questions/news stories in such a quick time for the press to meet their deadlines. It was very insightful and a good look into her campaign imo
I could go on but I thought it was her best interview to date and recommend it.
