The View‘s Joy Behar to Hillary: ‘What’s Gonna Happen’ to Women if Trump Wins?
Hillary Clinton was sitting down with the hosts of the The View Tuesday morning, when co-host Joy Behar said that “women seem to be under fire right now - more than ever,” and pointed specifically to the GOP frontrunner Donald Trump.
She mentioned the recent cases where wives of candidates were attacked for their looks, Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields was assaulted, and Trump’s assertion that there should be “some punishment” for seeking abortions.
“It’s frightening,” she said. “What do you think will happen to women if a Republican gets in the - if Trump wins, god forbid?” She added: “What’s gonna happen to us?”
“He has insulted everybody and he has demeaned everybody,” Clinton said, running down the list of several groups and prominent individuals Trump has scapegoated or ridiculed. “I don’t think the vast majority of Americans - let’s hope - want to reward that hateful behavior.”
