Yeah, you're right. In general the secrecy and lack of discussion was horrible and utterly undemocratic.

One of my classmates the other day referred to BDS movements on campus as "the rise of anti-semitic activism" and it took everything I had not to jump on that. Conflations like this are why people like Steven Salaita lose their jobs.
