What the hell? I had no idea the Trans-Pacific Partnership had anti-BDS provisions.

Yeah, you're right. In general the secrecy and lack of discussion was horrible and utterly undemocratic.

I would venture to say that it was pretty much the same thing everywhere, here is a link on the secrecy with regards to the text in the U.S. (How secretive is the Trans-Pacific Partnership?): http://www.cnn.com/2015/06/11/politics/trade-deal-secrecy-tpp/

It was also featured at WikiLeaks, because of the secrecy and lack of discussion (Secret Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP) - Investment Chapter): https://wikileaks.org/tpp-investment/

It may be OT but I agree. He's better than Harper on several issues, but that's really not saying much. ;-)

And I support BDS too (obvs). :)

One of my classmates the other day referred to BDS movements on campus as "the rise of anti-semitic activism" and it took everything I had not to jump on that. Conflations like this are why people like Steven Salaita lose their jobs.

also, fuck, I had high hopes for Trudeau. Have any Western world leaders turned away from Israel?

And I didn't know that about the TPP, smh.
