February 28, 2016 As expected, the primary was called for Clinton shortly after the polls closed in the state.
Of note, African American voters came out in higher numbers than they did in 2008.
6 out of 10 voters were black (and of them,
84% went for Clinton).

Sanders won young voters with 63% of people 17-29. Clinton won all other age groups.
70% of first time voters went for Sanders, compared to 30% to Clinton. 75% of people who had voted in a primary for went for Clinton.
