I was really hoping this article had some sort of spin/misinterpretation of the quotes. Partisans on both sides do that. There is an article the right-wing is sending around about a town near here saying they wouldn't let this girl use an American flag in her yearbook photo because schools are too liberal and unamerican. Turns out they rejected the photo *because she was standing on the flag* (in ignorance, not in protest) and they wanted to make sure it was treated respectfully that way. Precisely the opposite of how they were trying to spin it.

So I was thinking this wasn't the whole story. And maybe we'll find out it isn't. I'm all for alternative energy, and work in the environment, but the fact is not every proposed solar farm location is in a good place. They are often chosen by municipal leaders who are not science experts. Getting the right consultants and community partnerships will ensure it is in an optimal location for all parties. So I was hoping she was saying something more like, "This was working as an agricultural farm. The plants can't grow there if we tear it down." But no. It sounds like they really think the panels will suck up more than their "fair share" rather than what passively falls on them, lol. Haha...if only they could! Maybe we'll continue to hear more about the other side of the story, but as it stands now...wow.
