Shenanigans Friday: July 3, 2015: Canada Day/4th O'July Week Edition™ + Weird Desert Comm™ Status?

So ONTD_Political has been consistently weird and static/dead for just over a year. Many factors could be at play:

• Social media expansion (Twitter/Tumblr/Instagram/Snapchat)
• People got older/married/relationship'd/broken-up/school degrees/employed/differently-employed
• People got stressed out/self-improved/plain ol' bored

This seems to go for both members and moderators alike.

Whatever the case, some of the mods received notifications from Livejournal.com that people have been asking for more activity. I can only speak for myself but I got the sense -- based on the steady pattern of dwindling Shenanigans activity -- that people just grew bored and outgrew the comm.

BUT, let this post serve as an official opportunity for a head-count and to provide "proof of life". Fresh blood could be in order, including where it concerns mods. But it’s hard to say without a clear sense of renewed interest to begin with.

That said, ONTD_Political Pulse Check 2015 begins -- *presses two fingers to jugular* -- nnnnnow.
