PARIS: ISIS jihadists occupying parts of Iraq are destroying age-old heritage sites and looting others to sell valued artifacts on the black market, experts gathered at UNESCO’s Paris headquarters warned Monday.

oh fuck these scum. seriously.

wish there was a way for museum teams working with the museum staffs there to go in under guard and pack up the artifacts not nailed down (i.e. not the buildings/monuments) and carry it out of the country and hold it somewhere safe until this was over so the history is not lost.
