NRA Apologizes For Calling Guns-In-Restaurants Crowd 'Weird'

The National Rifle Association has disavowed its recent criticism of pro-gun demonstrations in Texas.

In an interview on Tuesday with the organization's own news site, the head of the NRA's lobbying arm blamed a staff member's "personal opinion" for the content of an unsigned statement

Yup. At this point in time, Open Carry Texas is a runaway train. Years have been spent fueling the anger and fear of the most fanatic and least responsible gun owners out there for political power and financial gain. Even if the NRA tries to stop it, there's too much momentum built up to stop it before damage is done.

The pendulum has swung so far to the right that policies the NRA used to support make gun nus go bat shit. Ditto the Republican party. the really scary thing, they pulled the rest of us right as well. So a moderate like Obama becomes a radical socialist Mooslim. Reagan would be labelled about the same, except he'd probably be a radical socialist pseudo agnostic.
