I hate anti-Vaxxers with the burning fury of a thousand suns. I hate the people that tell me I am stupid for not believing vaccines cause Autism, when I base my conclusions not on "the lamestream media" or "big pharma" .....but the years and years of intensive research by my mother, a Nurse who works in Clinical Research that has read every bit of research she could find since my brother was finally diagnosed as Autistic after over twenty years of not knowing what was up with him.

When he was a kid, we didn't have a diagnosis for him. Now, finally, we and many other families know. All this vaccine paranoia drives me nuts, as so much of it is easily debunked by a tiny bit of reading stuff like LEGALLY REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION on what is in different vaccines or a little sit-down time with your doctor. If vaccines were dangerous, you bet your ass my mother would be the first person to be against us having them. When I started having thyroid issues, she dug up the studies on every single medication I had taken in the last year to find any links and found that my anti-anxiety meds carry a minor risk of Thyroid problems.

Also, seriously, major diseases are no joke. When I was a kid, I got Chicken Pox. I was uncomfortable for a few days, but my healthy adult uncle got it from me and almost died. And exposing anyone to something that can potentially kill them is a shitty thing to do, in my book.

But I honestly suspect that the Anti-Vaxxer movement won't die until some Big Name Celeb's kid gets sick.
