After reading comments at the source for this article, and the one before, I wonder if anyone has done any research on what the statistics are of:

1. How many fathers have petitioned the court to have greater access/custody of their children?

2. How many fathers have petitioned to have their child support lowered?

And, just for shits and giggles, a breakdown of incomes for those statistics. I just wish I had it on hand for all the folks commenting, "It's not just about child support! It's about 50/50 custody for fathers!" (It also begs the question, they why couple those two issues together?)

Also, if child support is currently calculated at a certain percentage of the parents' income, why are rich folks the only ones that will get a cap on the amount of support they have to pay? Logically, wouldn't it be the lower-income fathers who have a greater burden since whatever that percentage is, is harder to bear with a lower income?

Lastly, if you care so much for your kids, why are you advocating giving LESS to them? And why does it have to be forced on you by the court?
