What business does the U.S. Supreme Court have in making that decision for Utah?
Gay marriage is legal in other states, and by the same reasoning. Just because the Supremes were too chickenshit to make the full declaration they should have doesn't mean that lesser courts shouldn't.
The same business it would have making that decision for any other state? I mean that's kind of its job.
But from the sound of it, it looks like the case is actually going to the 10th circuit court of appeals, not the US Supreme Court. If the 10th circuit's decision gets appealed, THEN it will go to SCOTUS.

I can also understand the 10th Circuit court putting a stay on marriages, but to have the Supreme Court do it seems to be jumping the gun.
