It is about time California was properly represented with Senators in Washington. Now our number of Senators per person will be about average.

Y'know, Congress is designed so that the Senate and House have different numbers of congresscritters for a reason. The Senate keeps the large populous states from making decisions that hurt the smaller states, while the House is supposed to keep the small states from having undue influence out of proportion to their populations. (well, when they're not both being intractable butthead)

It's like you misunderstood civics class entirely.

and in that redistrcting to get new Senators, you'd likely lose some House districts because you now have uneven populations.

Plus you're now going to have to have state Congresses to deal with things. I'd sure that'll be awesome.

So is this basically to keep all Silicon Valley money out of the dirty grabbers of the rest of California? Because shit. That's low.

Yep, it's part of the reason why I left. Once you're a few miles inland, it's quite conservative.

That's the whole point of this scheme, tbh. And money. Everybody wins! And by everyone I mean rich Republicans.

Um no. This is a blatant attempt to keep silicon valley's money in Silicon Valley. It's not a "fresh start" if some states have more Capitol than others. Omg I hate rich people politics.
