I hate women's pants. Hate. Them.

Okay so from working in retail you have two "sets." Junior's and Misses and then Plus Size. misses is considered "normal," you know, once you are no longer a cute little (read: skinny and small) college gal. If you aren't a cute little college gal you have to switch to Misses which has far more restrictions in style and fashion sense as the assumption is either you're a housewife or a professional person so suck it up if you wanted a jean style with the cool pattern like the Juniors section had.

On top of that if - IF - you're lucky you can split it into Tall, Petite, Average, etc. to somewhat ajust the leg length. But good luck because either way the standard practice is to make the leg length proportionate to your waist. So if you're big, your jeans are going to be long and drag at your ankles.

What really burns me up is to go into the men's section wherein they have waist AND length size! So it's very easy to adjust for big waists and short legs or long legs and skinny waists and it's nowhere near perfect as they don't really do Big & Tall but there is an easy way to customize the fit.

Basically women's pants are stupid, and the whole "you can't wear nice things because you're big" is stupid and the whole sizing system is stupid.

I've found length options (short, regular, tall) in Jrs sections in Macy's, Kohls, and JCP. I really only know this because my grandmother insists on buying me short legs because I tend to walk the length off of my jeans (I take them back for regular because I hate it if my jeans don't go over my shoes a bit due to being bullied for wearing floods as kid because I grew so fast).

So they do exist.

Also, Delia's has stores??? I thought they were just a catalog! I also didn't know they still existed.

Oooooohhh, gotcha. Yeah, I've never seen that.

And HOLY CRAP there's one in a mall by me. I'd never seen it! Totally going to relive my late 90s teenagerhood by going in there next time I'm there. I am WAY too excited by this.

Old Navy has short, regular and tall in regular sizes too- at least they do online. (I hate shopping in person, personally.)
Though they don't in plus sizes.
Because fat women only come in one height!
(I wear around a 16/18 so I can shop either top end of the regular sizes or bottom end of the plus sizes, but I can only get short when I'm in the higher end of regular sizes.)

I used to shop at American Eagle, but their jeans don't really fit my hips unless I want to size up and wear a really long belt.

I love Delia's jeans; I just deal with ordering them online. They have great length options and in my experience, they're some of the few jeans I don't need to wear a belt with.

I have relatively short legs for my height and have found women's pants way easier.

has a relatively big butt and narrow hips, wears juniors.

YES. Pants shopping is my own personal hell. To get them over my thighs and ass I have to buy 10-12, then wear a belt for the party in the back. And hem the bottom.

IDGAF if they're 'modern mom jeans', I LOVE Levi's curve because they're proportioned and muffin top free.

Fucking seriously. I've mostly given up on wearing women's clothing in general because of the lack of sizing options. I'm genderqueer, so it works for me, but I know there are a lot of women who wouldn't be comfortable taking that route and it fucking sucks.

And can we talk about the weird assumption the fashion industry has where they believe women don't need pockets? Even if they put them there for looks, most of the time they're fake. I don't carry a purse because I'll forget it everywhere, and it's easier to be stolen than if I have my belongings physically attached to my body. I just want to put my wallet in my pocket. Heck, even most women's CARGO pants I've seen don't have the sort of pockets that men's do.
