I wonder how many of these asshole whiner concern trolls told their kids they ate all their halloween candy and videotaped their crying for all the internet to see. THAT is a shitty prank. THIS is a lovely thing to do for kiddos.
I've seen parents who swiped fries from their kids hands and laughed as the kid cried. I wanted to go over and slap the food from their gob and see how they'd like it.
What these kids got in a trip to a toy store? sweet and wonderful.
what do you mean MY SPECIAL CHILD AND DARLING didn't get a free toy?! How come I have to spend my hard-earned money on a new iPad after I bought her one last year!!!
Seriously? People are angry kids got presents instead of learning about trees? Come on!
Also: It makes me so uncomfortable when children are used in photos like this, particularly because it's so negative and fucked up. I've been trying to get over it, but honestly, it's been really hard. I used to work at a shelter and the news stations would just come in some days and pan over all the faces of our kids, without their permission (but with their parents permission). IDK, it's always bothered me, but I understand the need.
Not to mention, what the heck is preventing them from arranging a tree trip ANYWAY. In addition. If it's so horrid that the kids didn't see the trees, they should put their money where their mouths are and get a bloody bus to take the kids to see trees. Geez
Some people just have to bitch about anything at all. If they had taken them on the field trip and turned down the Toys trip I bet the same people would have bitched about "teh toyz dammit, how dare you deprive these poor kids..."
There are a ton of studies out there that explore the benefit that kids get from playing with toys. Granted, kids can kind of make 'toys' out of most anything, but still. Not only do they promote use of imagination and learning various skills based on the type of toys, but they boost happiness levels, especially when a toy is a awesome surprise gift. Hell, some of the kids got toys they can use to exercise like bikes!
Children need to learn about and experience nature, yes. Kids also need toys.
That story was the best. He's daydreaming for days of how the beanie's gonna make him fly and have great adventures and then uhhhhhhhhhhh I don't seem to be taking off here....OOOOOOO CARDBOARD BOX!
