that's not even a subjective word, "controversial." as stupid as it is, I could see why a news person would put "what some are calling a racist ad," since there are likely some people who have no problem with it. but controversial = something that causes controversy. obviously this has. why... do you need to qualify something that is objectively controversial...

I've noticed this in other news articles. It's like "controversial" now means "has something wrong with it that makes people justifiably upset" and if reporters call something controversial, they are taking sides. So now we have alleged controversies.

Any word on whether David Arnett is the "family legend says my great-great-grandmother was an Indian!" kind of Native American or not? Incredibly offensive either way, but it becomes just so much worse if he's the former.
