I'm amused in a sense that clearly, he sees they have enough customers in the pasta market which is fairly jammed with brands ( at least 10 on offer at my local store) that he can happily piss off people. They WILL go to other brands, just as he asked.

We don't buy it anyway, so no big loss, we have lots of options for non-bigoted pasta brands. I can't say it's a boycott when I wasn't consuming the product in the first place i guess.

And seriously, all pasta tastes the same to me. I can buy the generic store brand and be just as happy. I used to choose Barilla if I had a choice, but now I'll be getting Ronzoni or whatever's on sale that's not Barilla.

With some foods, the store brand foods are created in LITERALLY the same factory, with the same ingredients and equipment, as the name brand foods. They just put them in different boxes.

Yup. There are plenty of other brands. We generally tend to buy what's on sale but our household won't be buying that one, that's for sure.
