Sarah Palin: Troopergate probe findings show I didn't break laws

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin insisted Saturday that a long-awaited legislative report proves she broke no laws in firing the state's top cop.

"If you read the report, you will see that there was nothing unlawful or unethical about replacing a cabinet member," the GOP veep nominee said as she boarded her campaign bus in Pittsburgh. "You got to read the report."
The investigation by state lawmakers, the results of which became public Friday, found Palin exceeded the limits of her power and was influenced by a personal grudge when she tried to get her former brother-in-law fired from the Alaska state police.

Trooper Mark Wooten was involved in an ugly divorce from Palin's sister.
As a result of the dustup, Palin dismissed Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan. The former top cop claimed he was sacked for resisting pressure to fire Wooten, while Palin claimed she dumped Monegan for budgetary reasons.

Chief Investigator Stephen Branchflower, a former Anchorage prosecutor, found Palin's bad blood with Wooten may have contributed to her decision to fire Monegan in July, but that it was within her scope of her power as governor to do it.

Palin defended herself in an interview with the Pittsburgh Review-Tribune after a Pennsylvania fund-raiser late Friday night.

"It is important for a governor to take on the responsibility of making sure that everybody in her cabinet is in the right place at the right time to best serve the public," she said. "I dismissed a cabinet member because he wasn't the right person at the right time in his position - dismissed him having nothing to do with telling him to hire or fire anybody else."

Uh, what?  The report doesn't say she broke any laws, but it DOES say she was unethical.  That, lady, is a lie.  Additionally, she's talking about how she was justified in firing him.  UH...the firing part is NOT what the panel took issue with.  It was the pressure put on him to get rid her brother-in-law BEFORE firing him.

She's feeding these people lies.  And they probably don't even care.

Oh, but Obama can't be trusted.  Guess it's okay to lie when you're a pretty Christian white lady.
