A condo association in Florida has found a way to keep out those pesky homosexuals and people shacking up in sin. It only allows single people or those who are legally married as "husband and wife" to buy in the neighborhood.

I appreciate the lack of subterfuge - just straight up, in-your-face discrimination. Makes for good headlines and builds awareness. / ugh.

(Seriously, though, most casual liberals -- those not poking around rage-inducing articles online -- do not seem to know people can be fired for being gay, be denied housing, etc.)

yeah. A city near me has an anti-discrimination ordinance on the ballot this november which would cover lgbt people for housing and employment and the number of people I've heard say that either a)lgbt aren't discriminated against or b)expressing shock that lgbt people aren't already covered by current laws is driving me up a tree. Next straight cis person who says the wrong thing to me is getting kicked

god, I would, if I had a place to go. But I have a shitty, minimum wage job in retail (meaning during off season, like now, my hours are horrific. BARELY 25 per week) and I just renewed my lease, so I'm stuck here minimum another year. :/
