Aren't they the ones that mail out the blue stickers with the equality sign? what's wrong with HRC? (I honestly don't know, I haven't heard of issues with them)

They've repeatedly shown little to absolutely no interest in helping trans people or supporting trans issues.

There have also been instances of them trying to literally silence trans protesters during equal rights protests ("um, can you not? this is kind of our thing, you're just confusing the message") but I don't recall if that was HRC members or HRC officials or what.

Incidences in question from during the demos at the Supreme Court: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/02/human-rights-campaign-apologizes_n_2994939.html

Apparently they apologised in this article but what the fuck ever, they can kiss my ass.

The HRC also focuses almost exclusively on issues like marriage equality which, while important, does shit for folks like homeless queer and trans youth. Basically the more 'middle-class, white cis' issues. While marriage equality is important and needed for queer and trans folks of all colours and classes for many of them it's not the most pressing issue and the HRC does nothing to acknowledge and fight for that.

Same, tbh. Their signing this letter was super surprising, and I was hoping that it was the first step of their making good on their whole "all of your ~other people~problems will be dealt with after marriage equality" bullshit, but they have a long way to go before they earn my legitimate trust.
