Uh... that's not what a misfire is. A misfire is when the bullet fails to fire when it's supposed to. This was a negligent discharge, i.e. someone fucked up.

Could have been a hang fire or slam fire if there was something wrong with the gun or the round.

Either way, someone still fucked up. Loaded weapons are always pointed in a safe direction, and clearly that one wasn't.
