More embarrassed for the people who didn't vote for it than the person who apparently didn't send the amendment in in the first place.

At first I was like that, but things like this do occasionally happen and things do legitimately get lost in the shuffle. This was just a really embarrassing piece of legislation to lose. The filing was probably done by an overworked intern/staffer (can you imagine the amount of paperwork they have to file during sessions?) and.. it's probably hanging out in the wrong file, or sometihng equally as stupid. I guess I'm not sure how big this amendment would have been, but...well...

Honesly, this is the only way I'm going to feel okay about this whole thing.

Am I the only one who finds it a bit weird and sad that Dr. Ranjan Batra basically disappears from the story after he alerted Ken Sullivan? Why doesn't anyone thank *him* for noticing in the first place!
Especially since he's a first-generation American, really...
