Naming a winter storm? Meteorologists are appalled by Nemo

I like naming major winter storms, though I think they need a higher threshold. It makes it easier to keep track of the storm systems and to talk about. And we've had enough Snowpocalypses.

Also, no, weather consultant guy, people are not going to think a winter storm is actually a hurricane because it has a name.

I agree with all of this. Every storm can't be "snowpocalypse", and I like the naming for that reason. And I've heard enough people using the name Nemo, I think the names are going to stick whether people like it or not.

And seriously, who is going to think it's a hurricane just because it has a name?

...there have been hurricanes in December and January before. February would not be out of the range of possibility.
