Recent statements from Beijing and Tokyo suggest that China and Japan may be pulling back a bit from the brink of confrontation over the Senkaku/Diaoyutai islets. The idea of these conflicts resulting in war is frightening, but I'm not going to shed any tears over the destruction of Globalization or "free trade". That neo-colonialist bullshit and the people who champion it can fuck themselves.

the thing is. even if globalization were to collapse, it would just return again like it did last time, unless we actually learned from the lessons of it.

That's because 'globalization' as it is practiced today means 'what ALL y'all got is mine' and not 'global awareness and mutual responsibility'. It's just imperialism wearing a new hat; the same expansionist and dominionist motives are still there.
