Anything that forcefully tells white Torontonian asshats to fuck right off will always have my approval.

While I can see people getting pissed at the bar's management for not speaking out I can't say the same about the waitstaff. A job's a job, especially in this economy, so I'm glad the protesters didn't harass them.

“No one would play Jews and Nazis” . . . Daniel Justice may be spot on about the racism involved, but he also seems a bit optimistic about people getting that other racist dress up play is not just harmless fun either.

"Prince Harry says sorry for Nazi costume "

That said, good on the people who took a stand.

Yeah, pretty much. There's a lot of them out there though. (And I suppose people with disturbing fetishes might be added to that list.)

To be (slightly) fair to Harry, the party in question was a 'Sound of Music' party. He didn't just pick a Nazi costume at random.

He's still a total divvock for choosing it at all, mind.

Danielle O’Hanley said staff dismissed complaints about the partygoers, who were also reportedly making war calls and acting out fake scalpings.

These people can fuck right off.

you guys should hear some of the shit floating around on twitter. a friend of mine was basically called a reactionary baby and that she should "relax."

not many things bother me to this extent, but we're living in a country where right now, there is a growing movement for native rights (Idle No More) and Chief Theresa Spence was on a hunger strike for months. and these thoughtless, privileged white kids show up in face paint and feather headdresses?

tacky, tacky, tacky.

Do you know there's actually an Idle No More 'Resistance' page on Facebook? People (including myself) have tried to report it as hate speech and it is still up. They didn't even bother emailing me about this after I reported it.

I think I'm going to send them a detailed message explaining why this page is racist hate speech (since this seems to be a difficult concept for them). I'm not expecting much (or anything) with regards to a response from them but they should be made aware that they are not acting against racism the way they should.

Another company that deserves blame is yahoo.ca. They regularly have hateful and racist crap on their site and don't seem to care. I wound up shutting down my email account there because it was so disgusting.

You stay classy, people. /sarcasm

HOLY SHIT. i had no idea about that. that's awful.
AWFUL. our country's pathetic record on native rights is rearing it's ugly head, and no one is interested in doing anything about it.

sigh.
