Yeah, I'm gonna go with no. This boils down to "blah blah my taxes are worth more than yours because blah blah"

because it's not like public sector employees pay taxes, amirite?

Public sector employees pay taxes, sure.

But, just to pull numbers out of my ass if a federal government employee grosses 30k a year, and pays 10k in federal taxes, the government is still out 20k a year on that employee. That's why private sector job growth is MUCH more important in terms of economic growth.

I understand that. But it's not like public sector jobs aren't necessary and underfunded and really, I don't think it's harmful to work on expanding both, because the public sector supports the private sector. I'm just over people acting as though public sector jobs have no place in our society and that it's wasteful spending to enhance them.

As someone whose paychecks are signed by a federal agency, I'm definitely of the belief that public sector jobs have a place in society.

I just wish that our government was a lot smaller.

On a completely OT note, what were your other choices? Ninjato? Wakizashi? Sonya Blade?

oh derp, my username. *cackle* tbh, I can't remember why I initially renamed my LJ to this except that my fandom name is "kitana" and I wanted to get rid of the weeaboo "chan" that used to be on it.

Yup. Unfortunately, the last ten years have led us to a place where we're sorta running out of money to spend in this recession.

I think that a good first step would be for Congress to pass a full federal budget for the first time in fifteen years.
