I'm working on a giant knit TARDIS. It's slow going but I'm finally stranding floats properly as opposed to leaving everything too loose for fear of puckering.
I have way too many projects right now. I've been taking an upholstery class and am soooooo close to being ready to finish my chair. Still have the padding to do and more sewing on the cover, though.
I have some walnut husks sitting in a bucket of water waiting for me to use it all as a wood stain for the top of an old desk I found on Craigslist that will make an awesome entryway table/place to put on shoes. Some idiot painted it an awful barn red color, so I'm sanding that off and restoring it.
For Christmas a friend gifted me with some of the Gotland wool that's what they made the Elven cloaks out of for LOTR, so I'm acquiring more and am going to try knitting my first garment that's not socks or gloves and do a featherweight cardigan. Excited!
Studied to be an editor. Can also do admin stuff and would nearly sweep floors to work for a social justice-related company I could believe in.
I had a great interview with a nice small technical editing subcontractor but they're taking forever in checking references etc as they're in the process of moving their office.
