Three AIDS activists have been arrested following a naked protest outside the office of the Republican House of Representatives speaker John Boehner

I'm really hoping that was poorly worded and the writer actually meant something like "the men left when they were told to do so but the women stayed so they got arrested" or something like that
You mean the arrest, not the nakedness, right? Because iirc, Pussy Riot were clothed.
Just asking, because I've seen so many people bring up such a question (i.e., "right kind of attention") specifically wrt female nudity being used in protests.
But again, Pussy Riot weren't nude when they protested at the church. I know its members and related groups have utilized nudity in different protests, tho, and I've seen a lot of it written as "for attention" and "they just wanna show off their boobs" etc.
It's making me sadface, too (I'm in Cleveland), but it's also making me go, "Holy shit, that's fucking fierce."
(Then again, I think it's a nice day when it's 3 C outside and walk around in a t-shirt and jeans without incident, so . . . I don't exactly have a concept of what's cold. lol)
Well, they got arrested inside the Capitol building and it's been oddly warm here in DC but then again I'm from Connecticut so my idea of cold and DC people's idea of cold are different.
