The Constitutional Crimes of Barack Obama

by DAVE LINDORFF

As we slog towards another vapid, largely meaningless exercise in pretend democracy with the selection of a new president and Congress this November, it is time to make it clear that the current president, elected four years ago by so many people with such inflated expectations four years ago (myself included, as I had hoped, vainly ( Read more... )

This might be a better article. FYI it doesn't mention Iran at all, it calls it a secret war because the majority of Democrats have no clue what drone strikes even are.

That article is definitely far better and less alarmist in terms of rhetoric. Have you submitted it to the queue?

Honestly I'm not in the mood to read comments full of people politely disagreeing with the drone war, when those same people would be absolutely outraged if Romney were doing the same thing. Hell, the same people who marched in the streets 8 years ago for peace are the same people who don't care now, because now it's being done by a Democrat, which makes it justifiable.

I'm resigned to listening to the Obama squeeing fan club in this community for the next four years, and apologists coming out of the woodwork every time someone brings up something that puts him in a less than shining light, or better still, someone pointing out that it's not his fault, that he can't undo Bush's policy, or that's it's totally the military's fault and Obama has nothing to do with it. etc, etc, rince repeat over and over and over again until the end of time.

I'm resigned to seeing it, but I don't think I want to debate it.

I see you haven't called us all sheeple yet but I can bet it's coming.

Or you could fuck off, 'cause your condescension is uncalled for (it's rinse, btw) and don't want to debate anything in a comm with lots of debate.

"the majority of Democrats have no clue what drone strikes even are."

That's a pretty sweeping generalization. Care to back it up, or are you just pulling accusations out of your ass?

Ah, looks like it's worse than I thought. Most Americans support drone strikes. How disgusting.

Yeah, I learned that firsthand when talking to my grandmother the other day. She's pretty progressive for an 80 y/o woman and her opinion basically boiled down to 'bomb them off the map' which... surprised the hell out of me, to say the least.
