I was a bit heartened because in my heavily repug precinct there was no waiting at all when I got there. I'm hoping a lot of them decided to stay home. They are usually really prejudiced so maybe voting for a mormon was just too much to bear for them.

Me either. That's the actual way they speak about mormons and catholics. "They don't believe like us." "They aren't christians."

The amendment results so far are saddening. I didn't really expect anything different and I know not that many precincts are reporting, but still. :(

Wait time wasn't too bad, I suppose. I waited 2.5 hours to vote, but it was the weather that made it nearly unbearable, and my poor choice in shoes. Alabama is always red, no surprise, but I'm always glad to vote.
