Ditto on the winds here in NYC. I'm not worried about flooding. Power outages are going to be the problem here. My entire block has trees growing through the power wires. I think we're basically screwed power-wise. :/

Yeah, I noticed it was windy earlier. I work for res life on a university campus and we had an emergency meeting at 5 pm and then headed the fuck home to hunker down.

I live on the 9th floor; flooding is not going to be an issue. It'll be power. Last year during Irene the power didn't go out, but I lived in a well-supported university building. This year I live in a university-owned apartment building but not a residence hall, so...
