This is not a generational thing, this is a privilege thing.

Yeah, mostly a privilege thing. But there is something about the already privileged people in my generation also feeling extremely entitled. Maybe it's in every generation, how should I know, but I do think it's rational considering what the commenters above replied.

I really think it is a generational thing. I am amazed at how much my 20 something friends are protected and catered to by their parents, and how much my friends who have teenage kids are willing to do for them.

I do believe it is generational class/race privilege. However:I am amazed at how much my 20 something friends are protected and catered to by their parents, and how much my friends who have teenage kids are willing to do for them
This x 1000. My friend "D" doesn't make her two kids, now 18 and 22, do squat around the house. When the oldest moved back home, her father, mother and me did the majority of the work. I was pissed. Never again.

Yeah, I do think it's a bit of both (though obviously much more of privilege).
