Voodoo Fest!

Oct 30, 2010 20:48

Last night, I lost both my Muse concert virginity and my music festival virginity.
Yeah, orgasmic is pretty much the right word and I felt like I needed a cigarette afterward.

Hopefully, some of you lovely people out there got some better pictures than I did and were probably also at the barrier, but I was happy to be alive, much less where I was ( Read more... )

Citizen erased twice in one week, I can't believe my luck. I'm in the middle of my 3hour layover in Houston, en route back to Philly. MK Ultra was my personal highlight. I've never seen it before (but this is my third time seeing citizen erased). The show was amazeballs, but I literally couldn't see a single effing thing. It sucked that the set was so short, but I guess that just had something to do with voodoo's time constraints. Interpol got cut off before they could finish their set because they were going over. I'd rather have a truncated set than have the guys get cut off in the middle of knights or something.

Citizen Erased has been THE song of the show, apparently. Oh my goodness, you've seen them three times and twice one week? Jealous!

Where were you? I was sooo lucky with where we ended up. I couldn't see Matt too much, but I had a PRIME view of Dom. ;)

I was kind of sad...Weeded went over, so the boys started late. And, apparently they finished at about 10:30 instead of playing until 11:00. BUT I was there, I made it, and what they did do was amazing!!!

Hope you have a safe trip back!

This was actually my 7th time seeing them! November 2004, August 2007, the 2009 VMA's, march of 2010 and now the 23rd, 24th and 29th. :)

I was back by that tent thing on matt's side. The view was bad and I was surrounded by really new/really casual muse fans. There was like, absolutely nobresction whatsoever to citizen erased or plug in baby. It was a strange situation.

But inwas actually more interested in new Orleans than in muse, so i had an amazing time. I even did a twitpic recreation of dom's picture where he's pointing at the muse sign. :)

Thanks very much. We had to leave our hotel at 3 am to get to this point and I won't get back to Philly until after 2. I'm so exhausted!

Oh. My. God. That's awesome!

Hey, I was back there! Second row up from the sound tent, draped over the barrier that was the walkway the stage to the tent. A few of the people around me actually knew their stuff, I was proud. But NO ONE knew Tom!

Oh, New Orleans. I'm fairly local and don't really care for it, anyway. And then I had all that trouble...it's probably safe to say I won't be returning any time soon! What'd you think of the city, though?

Man, that IS a long day! Maybe you'll be able to get some rest in between. :)

I LOVED the city, with the exception of bourbon street, which smelled like a frat boy's bathroom. I loved royal street. Cafe du monde was good. I made myself ear all local cuisine. I need to come back soni can see more than just the French quarter. Also, the festival cut into anybsort of night life, so I'll have to cone back. I wanted to giro Frenchman street and never got there. :(

Haha, Bourbon Street. New Orleans is so very special. ;)
New Orleans is kind of divided, I think. There's the French Quarter area where everything is and then not all that much anywhere else, just some shops and things sprinkled around. But if you loved where you went the first time around--that's amazing!

Glad you enjoyed your trip down here!
