Will Kenneth Branagh Produce (Or Star) In THOR 2?

He's not returning to direct THOR 2, but what are the chances we'll see Branagh in front of the camera or even back behind it in the role of producer? Read on to find out.

 (currently earning critical acclaim for his role as Sir Laurence Olivier in My Week With Marilyn) has revealed that he's yet to reach a decision with Marvel
 Studios as to whether he'll serve as a producer onTHOR 2.

Here's what he told the site when quizzed about the possibility of still being involved with the movie after passing on the chance to direct. "I think that really it's over to the guys with that," he said. "Timing-wise, it just wasn't going to work for me, and that's absolutely been born out by the kind of year I've had which has been very busy, but I'm very interested. I'll be speaking to the guys when I get back. They're shooting in Shepperton near me, so no doubt, we'll be hooking up and I'll be as little or as much of it as they'd like."

And if not as a producer, how about returning for an acting role? "Why don't you suggest it to them?" he laughed. It's clear that there's no bad blood between Branagh and the studio (unlike actors such as Terrence Howard, Ed Norton and Mickey Rourke) and he's now looking forward to the opportunities his work on the financially and critically successful THOR has presented him with. "I mean, I never assume anything about these things, but I would say, listen, you just noticed it in terms of a lot of people are sending things, and that's great. I'm very, very pleased about that and I want to make sure that I have as good a time as I had on "Thor." I'm weighing things up carefully, but in the meantime, I'm having a great time learning all over again about screen acting and enjoying it hugely."
