"Iron Man 3" Needs 1,000 Extras for North Carolina Shoot

Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) is set to direct the third "Iron Man" installment, with Robert Downey Jr, Don Cheadle and Gwyneth Paltrow set to reprise their roles.

Now comes word that Black is looking for one thousand extras for a scene to be shot in Wilmington, North Carolina. Premiere Casting wrote the following on their Facebook page: "Received an email this morning. 'Iron Man 3' will use about 1,000 extras during the film and there will be over 550 crew jobs and will be shooting from May 2012 until January 2013 with a Memorial Day weekend release in 2013."

The new movie is set to hit theaters on May 3rd, 2013. According to Black, it's unlikely that The Mandarin will appear in it.
